Quality calculator: from grain, sewing and fit to the number on the card
A commission dress scores 30% grain, 20% fit and 50% sewing, rounded. A dress you sell, or the fallback check on a gift, leaves fit out and scores 40% grain and 60% sewing. Put in your numbers to see both, and whether a card’s Quality line passes.
- Librarian Workwear: 100 passes 60.
- Gift fallback: 100 is over 80, so a gift lands even if it misses her gift card. Gift cards
- 100% achievement: this dress earns it.
Where the three numbers come from
| Grain | The average over every piece of the dress: a piece lined up exactly with the grain scores 100 and one exactly across it 75; a slight tilt lowers either, and past a small angle the piece scores nothing. Pieces the game treats as bias cut score 100 lined up either way. How to line pieces up is on grain, gradients and prints. |
|---|---|
| Sewing | Each seam’s accuracy, weighted by how many mesh edges it joins, so the seams with more edges count for more. Tips and the Sewing Assist setting are on getting 100% quality. |
| Fit | How close the mannequin is to the client’s true size, not to your tape readings. Each client’s true size and a fit checker are on client measurements. |

Why 94.5 is not 95
The game rounds with Unity’s rounding, which sends a number ending in exactly .5 to the even whole number: 94.5 becomes 94, while 95.5 becomes 96. So a dress that seems to sit right on the line can still miss a 95 card by one. The calculator above rounds the same way, and when you are short it tells you the sewing that gets you over.
The lines that matter
- A card’s Quality line
Passes at or above its number; Not Haughty’s is a ceiling instead. See Not Haughty.
- Gifts
A gift that misses the client’s gift card still lands if its no-fit Quality is over 80, so 81 or more. More on gifts.
- The 100% achievement
Uses the no-fit Quality, so measurements do not matter for it. See achievements.
