Phoenix Costume: Edith’s stage look, feathers and all

Pick fabrics that carry Glamour and Risqué together, sew to Quality 80, then place four feather accessories. Glamour 60 and Risqué 30 are floors, and a dress can sail far past both.

Quality exactly 80 and exactly four feathers were enough.

What to do for each line

  • Glamour and Risqué

    Sequined fabric is high in Glamour and is Risqué too; some silks also work. Capricorn Burnout Velvet and Lace on Pink Silk each list Risqué 50 alongside Glamour, so either can carry a large piece.

  • Four feathers

    In the accessory shop, set Type to Feather. The card counts feathers placed on the dress, so buy at least four.

  • Quality 80

    A floor, not a cap: 80 passes. Grain and seams are what move it; see getting Quality up.

A build that fits the brief: a cinched keyhole blouse or corset bodice, bell sleeves and a corset skirt. Check the numbers in the commission checker before you deliver.

If Risqué will not climb

Piling accessories on may not fix a Risqué shortfall: a dress with several Risqué fabrics and a heap of accessories has stalled at 12 of 20. Try recutting a piece in a Risqué 50 fabric, the small ones such as the collar included. The reasons are on a tag that will not go up.
