What the price buys
The studio set the price in a post that also sums up the game: “a game with story commissions of approximately 35 hours (excluding off-rack dresses), with over 150 dress pieces, over 450 fabrics and over 350 accessories”. Written in the studio's price announcement, Scalding September Tea The same post promises more free content and new features, and there is no DLC on the store page. Is Dressmaker free?
The full game is paid. The free version people mean is the original prototype on itch.io, which is pay what you want and still downloadable; what it contains is on demo and free prototype.
Family Sharing
The store page lists Family Sharing among the game’s features. A thread on the Steam board asked why it seemed excluded, and an account marked as the developer replied that it should be working. Answered in a Steam discussion about Family Sharing, with a developer reply
