Exotic Moth: Vivian’s velvet dress and tassels

Use Velvet for at least 50% of the dress’s fabric area, place 5 tassels, and check Elegant, Glamour and Quality separately. A moth-like shape alone does not pass the commission.

The budget is 400 gold. Elegant and Glamour need 50 and 50; neither tells you how much of the dress is Velvet.

Why one Velvet piece can still fail

The game divides the area of cut Velvet panels by the total area of the dress’s pattern panels. It does not divide the number of Velvet pieces by the number of pieces, or use the style-tag weighting of the skirt. A tiny Velvet collar can add Velvet without getting near the floor. Hidden skirt panels still enter the total.

Once every dress panel is cut from Velvet, the material fraction is 100%; mixing materials needs an area check. In the Exotic Moth dress designer, try your actual shape and fabric layout before cutting. For individual panels, use the fabric share planner.

Velvets that carry both style tags

These fabrics are available at shop rank zero, with Elegant and Glamour weights that reach the requested floors before pattern effects. Pattern bonuses and penalties still change the final dress scores.

Compare the full Velvet fabric list. An expensive fabric can use up the commission budget quickly; estimate material costs in the designer instead of buying several colours blindly.

Count tassels, rather than trim length

The Tassel line counts matching accessories on the dress. Buying them is not enough, and an ordinary strand of trim does not add a Tassel. Use the accessory’s Type, rather than its name or appearance.
