Dressmaker characters: the ten clients
Ten townspeople bring the story commissions, and each has an achievement for finishing all of their major ones. Below is what each client’s cards ask for, the cards themselves, and how many Steam players have seen that client’s story through.
Rose
Rose works at the library, gets cold on late shifts, has mice eating her clothes, and at one point needs a dress for gravedigging.

Prudence
Prudence wants to stand out at the Duke's funeral, needs an elegant dress for housework, takes a rude glazier very personally, and wants flowers for the Spring Fete.

Priya
Priya is an artist: an intimidating black dress for the funeral, a dress that represents her at her own exhibition opening, then a wish to dress more like Vivian.
Drawn to Hue for all of Priya’s major commissions: 0.4% of Steam players.
Marie
Marie is the sensible one at the funeral, shows a friend around Twillford on a picnic, and has a dispute involving a goat to settle.
G.O.A.T. for all of Marie’s major commissions: 0.6% of Steam players.
Edith
Edith is Edith Swan, once on the stage: an interview with her biographer, a stage look recreated for a portrait, her favourite author's dress-up competition, and evening visits to her husband's grave.

Dorothy
Dorothy keeps pigeons, spies on people in the hedge maze, and is trying to get picked up by an extraterrestrial.

Her first dress, Pigeon Adoption, brings Berty, one of her pigeons, into your shop. In the game’s own words: “If Berty adopts you, he would be prepared to deliver your correspondence.” Seen in Cem Black's recorded first playthrough on YouTube That unlocks You’ve Got Mail, and the mail commissions he brings count toward Birds of a Feather, Frock Together.
Fiona
Fiona grows vegetables and wants them promoted, tries to win the Duke's flower contract, and helps Edith prepare for an interview.

Alice
Alice is studying, wants to exercise her demons, and hunts for true love in the hedge maze.
Caw Evermore for all of Alice’s major commissions: 1% of Steam players.
Vivian
Vivian wants velvet to stalk the night in, sequins for Priya's exhibition, and a dress inspired by an exotic moth.
Good Girl Gone Vlad for all of Vivian’s major commissions: 0.5% of Steam players.
One of her conversations about animals offers a leech option; picking it earns the hidden achievement Sucker for Punishment. One player reports it came up during her third commission, which arrived by pigeon.
Adora
Adora enters the annual sporting day, turns up at Priya's exhibition as a secret critic, and wants to impress Prudence.

Selafie
Selafie has one card on record, Selafie’s Wish, a cute dress for herself with pink, white and bows. She is not one of the ten with an achievement of her own.
Friendship and gifts
Each client has five friendship stars. After a few commissions the game lets you gift dresses to any client you have met, and their preferences and measurements go into the Sketchbook.
