Dressmaker lace trim and accessories

Accessories go on after the last seam: lace, trim, bows, buttons, brooches, feathers and the rest, placed by hand on the mannequin. 10 of the commission cards on record ask for a specific kind, and lace trim is the one with a catch.

Lace trim that does not count

Alice’s Studious Motivation asks you to use 100cm of lace trim. Only accessories the game tags as lace trim count toward it, and a player on Steam gave the way to check: “You can filter the items for “Lace trim” and the ones that show up are the only ones that will count towards the goal”. Answered in a Steam discussion about which lace counts as lace trim

The first patch also fixed the tagging itself. Its notes include “Fix some lace trim items not being tagged as such”, so a lace that did not count at launch may count now. Listed in the studio's first patch post, Build 403 The rest of that patch is on patch notes.

These are the labels on the placement bar at the bottom of the screen. The two accessory achievements

Trim and Proper needs more than 50m of trim on a single dress, and Harder than it Seams needs more than 300 accessories on one dress. Both are about volume, which is where Place Multiple helps. Their share of players is on all 32 achievements.
