Who Edith is
“But where are my manners? I'm Edith Swan.” When the name is recognised she waves it off: “I sang a song or two when I was younger, but my days on the stage are long past.” “Now I'm just Edie.” Later cards fill in the rest: an old stage look to recreate for a portrait, and evening visits to her husband’s grave.
