Vegetable Empire: a three-colour gardening dress for Fiona

Use at least 3 distinct fabric colour categories, then reach Cute 50, Playful 50, Workwear 40 and Quality 75. The budget is 250 gold.

Gardening dress with a dark teal bodice, pink trim and floral blue apron, with all requirements ticked on the left
A dark bodice, pink edging and floral apron make a colourful gardening dress. The five completed lines are on the left.

First, check what counts as a colour

The game collects the colour tags from the fabrics assigned to dress panels and counts each distinct category once. A print can look multicoloured but carry only one category. Several pink fabrics still count as one; a pink accessory adds none. This commission has no minimum area for each colour.

3 different colours: Blue, Pink, Yellow. Passes the 3-colour line.

Counts these fabrics as if each is used on a dress panel. Repeating a colour counts once; accessories add no colours. This checks the colour line only.

Next, give the dress all three style tags

  1. Start with a cheap cotton palette. The three selected starting fabrics each cost 10 gold per metre and each carries Cute, Playful and Workwear. Put the fabrics on actual dress panels, rather than leaving the third colour in your inventory.
  2. Keep the workwear shape in view. Check the pattern’s own bonuses and penalties in the Workwear pattern table. A gardening-looking dress can still lose Workwear points through the selected pattern.
  3. Inspect the final totals before sewing. Use the Vegetable Empire dress designer for the pattern, fabric and accessory combination. The colour counter above only checks the colour line; it does not predict the dress’s style or quality.

These are fabric weights, not a guarantee that every silhouette passes. If one final style score is low, compare both the fabric contribution and the selected pattern tags before piling on accessories.

Finally, finish the quality and delivery check

Quality uses grain alignment, Fiona’s fit and sewing accuracy. A complete colour palette does not improve Quality on its own. Use Fiona’s measurements for the mannequin and the quality calculator to diagnose a shortfall.

Before delivery, check the completed dress against all five Vegetable Empire lines. If the card seems to have vanished, turn the Client tab’s pages rather than starting over; the steps are on finding a missing commission. Fiona’s other requests are on her client page.
